Tackling food poverty
With around 13 million people in the UK living below the poverty line, food banks have become a vital resource – providing emergency help to almost a million people in the past year.
Centre West is working with local groups to ensure that help is there when people need it – looking at ideas like shared transport, or a directory of food banks to ensure that people facing a crisis can be referred to a food bank quickly and easily.
